Nichée au cœur des paysages Ardennes sereins près de St. Vith, en Belgique orientale, la Maison Suyaki est un chef-d’œuvre d’innovation architecturale et de durabilité environnementale. Ce projet distinctif, exploitant la technique Suyaki de Nakamoto Forestry, fusionne les méthodes traditionnelles de conservation du bois japonaises Yakisugi (bois brûlé ou Shou Sugi Ban) avec l’esthétique design moderne prévalente dans l’architecture européenne.
Avec son revêtement en bois Suyaki de couleur charbon, la maison attire l’attention et offre un contraste visuel frappant avec la verdure luxuriante de la campagne belge. Suyaki, réputé pour augmenter la résilience naturelle du bois, assure la longévité de la structure face aux éléments, réduisant le besoin d’entretien grâce à sa protection contre la décomposition, les nuisibles et le feu.
La philosophie architecturale derrière la Maison Suyaki est ancrée dans le minimalisme, mettant en avant des lignes épurées, une précision géométrique et de grandes fenêtres qui inondent l’intérieur de lumière et offrent des vues étendues sur la nature.
